Thursday January 29th, at the San Benito County Office of Education's Annual Literacy Summit, Ms. Fanning, TK-2 Teacher at Tres Pinos Elementary, was presented with a Classroom Literacy Award for her TK-2 students active engagement with the F2B platform. Ms. Fanning's extensive experience in developing literate students includes her active use of developmental support programs that engage students and improve reading proficiency, vocabulary, and comprehension. She utilizes research-based, interactive, multisensory, and digital tools to support in-school, at-home, and summer learning, with the goal of ensuring children are reading proficiently by the 3rd grade. The award was presented by Jose Hernandez renowned retired astronaut/keynote speaker for the Literacy Summit and Superintendent of San Benito County Schools, Krystal Lomanto.
